Time for Tea!

Time for Tea!

Our catering plays an important part of the daily events at Hampton House. There’s always something planned on the menu to tempt even the smallest of appetites. Our catering team take pride in using fresh ingredients from the local butchers, and fruit and vegetable merchants.

Somtimes, just a good old cup of tea and a piece of cake ticks the box!

We’ve celebrated with themed menus and celebrations during January for: Burns Night, Australia Day, National Croissant Day, Birthdays, Chef’s Special Supper, Chinese Evening, and drinks parties throughout the month.

In February we are celebrating Shrove Tuesday with pancakes, Valentine’s Day Special Lunch, Chinese New Year, National Pizza Day and our always popular, Vintage Tea Party. The Vintage Tea Party is repeated throughout the year and really is a special afternoon tea, with our vintage bone china cups and saucers, fancy cake stands and lashings of tea!

Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day!

Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day!

Oh my goodness, it’s raining again!

Everyone is truly fed up with the endless days of wet weather. While we sit inside cosy and warm the constant grey skies and soggy looking garden are really making us all truly longing for some dry and sunny skies.

The winter months will quickly be forgotten, and as the daylight hours lengthen, there is a new tempo, as we step into March and spring time. We just need the rain to go away!

Our entertainment and activities program is as busy as ever. We have celebrated with our annual St David’s Day and St Patrick’s Day themed lunches. We have welcomed countless visitors over the Mothering Sunday weekend. And of course, our traditional festivities during the Cheltenham race week, culminating with the Cheltenham Gold Cup, have proved to be a successful feature again this month.

Our residents can pick and choose which events they want to participate in. These may mean everything, but we equally respect those residents who prefer their own company, and whom may only select a handful of events from our program. Our program gives our residents something pleasant to look forward to, and they tell us this certainly helps, when the rainy days are making us all feel dreary.

Feedback is always welcome!

Feedback is always welcome!

We are always looking for ways to obtain feedback from people involved with Hampton House. We value the comments and suggestions that are made by our residents, their families, health care professional and our staff team. We value the formal and informal feedback that everyone makes and this contributes to our Quality Assurance Audits.

We are constantly monitored and judged by our regulatory body, the Care Quality Commission, commonly known as the CQC, and they too formally assess the service we are providing, with their robust inspection processes and formal on-site inspections.

Every 4 weeks, our senior team sit down with each of our residents to discuss the care they are receiving. This provides an opportunity to have a structured discussion about how they feel their care is being delivered, and air their views about what is going well, and where they feel we can make improvements.

Our staff know that we are always looking for ways to make our residents lives more pleasurable. We constantly strive to implement new ideas and all feel proud to know we exceed our residents and families expectations.

Our Mission Statement
