Oh for some warmer days!

We need some warmer weather then the render can be applied. The inside building works are progressing well and lots of tradesmen working hard.

The staircase is in situ and our additional passenger lift is being installed this week!

We might be finished by Easter! Fingers crossed for some milder days.

At long last - the rendering can be put on!

At long last - the rendering can be put on!

The days have warmed up and this means that the plasterers are hard at work applying the rendering to the outside of our new extension.

Tuesday was fabulous – warm and sunny! The rendering started and hopefully showers permitting will be finished by the end of the week.

Keep up the hard work fellas!

Our fabulous new rooms are FINISHED!

Our fabulous new rooms are FINISHED!

Our extension of 12 fabulous new bedrooms has been completed and they look amazing! We are just waiting for confirmation from the Care Quality Commission that we can start using them!

Our team of builders have been fantastic to work with over the last 8 months, and we are delighted with the end result!

Landscaping, new patio and paths are the next part of our project and then the refurbishment of some existing bedrooms!

Our refurbishments continue .....

Now that our fabulous 12 new resident bedrooms have been finished we are turning our attention to the layout and decorations in the rest of our home.

We are nearing the completion of rebuilding and fully refurbishing 3 more resident bedrooms. These rooms will be ready for occupation by the end of August 2013 and some excitement of their availability is beginning to build!

Our main lounge has been extended to provide a larger seating area for our additional residents, and we are applying the finishing touches over the next few weeks.

The patio and continuous garden paths in our rear garden have been greatly received by our residents, especially those residents with walkers and zimmer frames – it’s so much easier now to enjoy our outside space.

The garden is in full bloom!

Thanks to the gorgeous sunny weather and the work of our brilliant team, the garden is looking fantastic and beginning to take shape.

The residents have had access to the garden, despite the building works and have enjoyed the freedom and space for relaxation. The new path which sweeps around the garden is always being used and so much easier for our residents with zimmer frames to use.

Popular garden paths!

Popular garden paths!

Our rear garden has been completly relandscaped with a path way that surrounds a circular feature lawned area. The shrubs are taking root and our roses continue to bloom!

Not only does our garden look fantastic – “Thank you for all your lovely comments by the way,” but it means that most of our residents can walk around the garden independently, and the zimmer frames are able to zim round with ease!

Have you heard the saying “If you don’t use it, then you’ll loose it”, well that’s certainly not the case here and our residents have become more motivated to use our wonderful outdoor space!

The roof is nearly finished! Lots of activity inside - its really taking shape!

The roof is nearly finished! Lots of activity inside - its really taking shape!

Despite the snow and rain the roofers are persevering and the roof covering is nearly finished.

There are lots of changes inside the new building. The first fix for the electrics and plumbing have been completed and a speedy team of plasterers are getting to work.

The staircase has been delivered and the carpenters will start work next week!

Lots of excitement in the home – we are all beginning to buzz!
