Happy Easter from us all!

Happy Easter from us all!

Easter has arrived and we are all looking forward to our festive weekend. We have our fingers crossed for some sunshine filled days!

We have lots of activities planned for those residents who wish to join in. Our hairdresser is here to ensure that we all look our best! We have our lunch time Drinks Parties throughout the weekend. Discussion Group, Indoor Quoits, Quiz Time, Indoor Quoits and hopefully some walks in our gardens!

Lots of visitors are anticipated to visit us over the Easter holiday weekend and our baskets are ready with Easter Eggs to share!

Our Vintage Tea Party

Our Vintage Tea Party

We decided to host a Vintage Tea Party to offer our residents a special afternoon tea.

Two care staff kindly scoured the charity shops for many weeks looking for bone china cups, saucers and plates. Our collection of china was assembled and vintage bunting purchased. Special paper flower decorations were made to brighten up the decorations. We found floral tablecloths and napkins and all that was left to do, was set a date!

Our Catering Manager designed the special tea-time menu and produced the delicious goodies. Freshly made sandwiches, cucumber was included in the selection - but of course! And savoury nibbles accompanied the sandwiches. The tea plates included; homemade scones, with jam and cream. Individual home baked Victoria Sandwich Cakes. Fresh strawberries adorned the decorative tiered plates. Such a sight our mouths were watering!

The residents enjoyed the event and especially liked the freshly poured tea from the bone china cups. “The tea always taste so much nicer from a bone china cup” remarked so many residents.

We have been asked by many of the residents to host this event again - who knows this might have to feature as a monthly event on our entertainments calendar!

Our new bedrooms are ready!

Our new bedrooms are ready!

At long last, the much awaited unveiling of our 6 newly built bedrooms. All our bedroom areas are named after semi precious jewels and our new bedrooms are in our new area named Pearl.

The bedrooms have been purpose built, and they are tastefully and comfortably furnished with colours from natural Pearls. The rooms are fully furnished but there is space you for you to bring small items of furniture, pictures and ornaments, to make the room your home.

The bedrooms benefit from their own private en-suite facility, with toilet and basin.

The bedrooms are equipped with a colour flat screen wall mounted television. There is a telephone point for you to have your own telephone. We have free wifi throughout the home.

Please come and have a look - we would be delighted to hear what you think!
