More bedrooms get our make over!

Our fabulous team of builders are still working hard! Yes, they are still here. We have decided to continue with more areas of the house for remodeling and refurbishments, because everywhere is looking so good!

Phase 4 Started at the beginning of January 2014 and is progressing well. This area includes the complete remodeling of four residents’ bedrooms, bathroom, our laundry and kitchen.

The bedrooms will be finished to the very high standards and match the standards of our newly built bedrooms that were opened in May last year.

The laundry area will be large to meet the increase in future demand of our residents laundry.

And the kitchen, well, this will be just amazing when the works have been completed. It is being enlarged and refurbished with all commercial equipment. This will ensure that our home cooked meals continue to meet the high expectations of our residents.

Have you looked at our latest programme of activities and entertainments?

We’ve just issued our latest programme for March 2014!

Spring is in the air and we are all looking forward to some walks outside without an umbrella – hopefully!

The pub lunches are back on the fixture with anticipation of some kinder weather ahead and we are planning our next trip to the Exmouth Arms. We haven’t been there before but try and support as many Leckhampton business as we can!

The Cheltenham Gold Cup week always gives us a buzz – especially with our Sherry and Sweepstake planned days.

Can we put the winter days behind us? Let’s hope so!

Our new kitchen unvealed! Yippee!

We are so excited that our new kitchen will be ready for use this week!

We have installed high end, commercial equipment, with the help of the fantastic team of people from Space Catering, who are based in Gloucster.

We are already proud of the high quality of food we offer our residents and our new kitchen and equipment will mean we can continue to exceed our residents high expectations!

Came and have a look at this fabulous new facility – we’re sure you will be impressed and our staff can’t wait to get working in this amazing new environment.

Our building works have FINISHED!!

Our fabulous builders, Browns from Swindon, have finished our building works!! Yippee!

Finishing touches to our new paving, outside – if it ever stops raining for long enough, will mean that we have finally completed our building project. “I don’t believe it!”, did I hear you say?

We have built a new 12 bedded extension and then we went on to completely rebuild and refurbish EVERY part of the house!! No mean feat – but the amazing team of builders and our careful planning have meant that our residents haven’t been affected and the home has been very much “business as usual”.

Our efficient and upbeat team of staff have handled all the changes with a smile and the can-do attitude that has become our culture! They too have reaped the benefits of the works and now benefit from working in a super commercial kitchen and extended and refurbished laundry.

Time to relax and celebrate? Yes, definitely, knowing that we can continue to offer more residents, the fabulous care and facilities that everyone has come to know and love about us!

New jobs created. New care staff recruited.

Due to our expansion and completion of all our extensive building works we have been able to create additional jobs for care staff, in our unique home.

All our staff are hand picked by us! We organise all our own recruitment and have become known in the area as a “good” home to work at. Not only do staff love our fabulous new facilities and equipment, but they enjoy the continuity of the same owners, who have managed the everyday running of the home for the last 15 years!

Our staff know they will be well trained, well supported and developed to to their own individual potential. This make us all feel happy and proud!

Thre's nothing black about our Friday!

There’s always something for our residents to look forward to in our warm, comfortable and cosy setting!

We really are enjoying our fabulous new facilities that were finished in June this year.

The Handbell Ringing this afternoon, on our Entertainments and Activities program is sure to bring more residents in to our fabulous communal lounges!

This bell ringing event is proving more and more popular each month – will we have enough bells?

Twinkle, twinkle little star!

The decorations are sparkling! Presents are wrapped. The turkey is prepared and the wine is chilling!!

We’re all set and ready for Christmas now! Most of our residents will be spending Christmas Day at Hampton House, with our usual Christmas festivities!

Many families visit, and join us for a sherry before our special Christmas Day Luncheon is served. Crackers, wine, mouth watering food and good cheer among us all!

We’re all looking forward to Christmas Day.
